The Story Behind the Bear

Rosa Tous is one of the very talented designers for Tous. With her creativity she is able to design unique pieces for her customers around the world. In 1985 Mrs. Tous designs what will become the emblem of Tous.

“During one of my trips to Italy, I was walking around when I saw a lovely teddy bear in a shop window. We all have had one, haven’t we? This question came to my mind. Besides they usually remind us of sweet memories. So I thought, why don’t we turn it into a gold jewel?”

According to Mrs. Tous’ words, its creator, this is how one of the best-known symbols in the jewelry field in Spain was born.

If you are either a devoted fan of TOUS or a newcomer, The TOUS girls would like to welcome you to our blog and would like for you to get to know TOUS better. As many of you may know TOUS is a spanish brand from Barcelona, Spain one of the fashion capitals of the world. TOUS is named after the family name of the creators Rosa and Salvador Tous. The brand started in 1920 working with watches and had now expanded into an international brand with almost 400 stores in 42 countries. Tous is also known for its Bear logo which is found in most pieces. With TOUS becoming so popular in North America it's important for all TOUS fans to know where the Brand started from and how the iconic bear became.
